Academics

Lower Division – Pre-K through Grade 4

A place to grow that appreciates, nurtures, and inspires.

Through a variety of curriculum experiences, we provide our students with many opportunities to acquire developmentally appropriate cognitive skills, to take risks, to work cooperatively, and to make choices that are essential to self-direction and creative problem solving. Students also receive instruction in physical education, art, music, drama, technology and Spanish. LEARN MORE.

Middle Division – Grades 5 through 8

A place to grow that is both academically challenging and developmentally sensitive.

The Middle Division program is designed to meet the specific educational and social needs of early adolescents. While it requires students to develop academic discipline and responsibility, it also provides them with the opportunity to choose courses in areas of personal interest including art, band, computers, chorus, dance, drama, environmental science, forensics, politics, strings, and video production. Each student must complete coursework in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, foreign language and physical education. Students participate in community service and extended trips related to their coursework, allowing them to learn and grow by becoming leaders and sharing real life experiences with their peers. Upper Division – Grades 9 through 12

A place to grow in which each student finds her or his authentic self by being known and by being challenged to make a difference.

Our Upper Division program prepares students for college and life. From Mandarin Chinese to Advanced Placement classes in all academic areas, leadership roles in scientific research, varsity level sports, and significant experiences in the arts, Academy offers each student opportunities that engage and inspire. All of our graduates have continued their studies at college, and our college counseling program has helped them to find great matches at the country’s finest colleges and universities. Students continue their involvement in community projects through which they learn an ethic of service through actual experience. LEARN MORE.
