Fine Arts
Few schools are able to offer the high quality arts experiences that are available to every student at Academy at the Lakes. From Junior Kindergarten through senior year of high school, performing and creating opportunities abound, whether it’s in the art studio, on the stage, or studying an instrument. We believe that arts education is not a “frill”; rather, it is an essential element in every child’s educational experience.

In their Academy arts experiences students learn by doing, they learn to work in groups, they learn to learn from mistakes, and they develop the ability both to express themselves and to solve problems. Throughout their Academy arts experiences, students pursue both long- and short-term goals, develop responsibility, and cultivate a true appreciation for the arts.
At Academy at the Lakes, our artists are athletes and our athletes are artists. Our instructors are talented and inspirational, patient and demanding. They are professionals in their artistic disciplines who want to share their talents and insights with our students. And they love teaching at Academy at the Lakes. They are evidence of our deep commitment to the power of possibility that exists inside excellent arts experiences.
