Our Curriculum

core-curriculum-logo-circleonly-01Academy at the Lakes’ curriculum provides a well-defined focus and energy for not only academics, but also for service, arts, athletics, and other activities. Our goal is to help our students develop their skills in each of six key areas that are necessary for success in the academic arena, workplace, and global market.

Whether it’s social studies, math, science, technology, language arts, Spanish, or Chinese, every classroom lesson is tied to at least one of the “6 Cs” of our curriculum. Academy’s “6 Cs” were derived from writings first published by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).

To better understand how Academy’s curriculum impacts our school community, please read one of our current newsletters or see our blog for recent articles about The Academy Difference.
