Parents Association
The Academy at the Lakes Parent Association fosters a feeling of community among families, supports faculty and staff through volunteer opportunities, and provides a bridge for communication between the school and parents. Every parent who has a child that attends Academy at the Lakes is a member of the Parent Association and we are excited to welcome all volunteer participants – no matter what your time, talent or desire!
Our mission is to spread the message of “the joy in the journey” – for our children and our families. In order to do this, we support many areas of the school through the Friends of the Library, Fine Arts Boosters and Sports Boosters.
We have a vibrant homeroom parent support system, a newly developed Dad’s Club, and New Family Relations committee to support parents throughout each step of their Academy journey. There are many events throughout the school year to allow our families to socialize such as the Parent Mingle, Wildcat Jamboree, Father/Daughter dance and more!
An important goal for the Parent Association is to show our appreciation and support for our amazing and talented faculty and staff through ongoing Faculty Appreciation events. The Parent Association also provides planning support for the Annual Auction and Golf Tournament.
