The Tampa Bay Lightning honored Ed Ross as the fifth Lightning Community Hero of the year. Ed is an Academy at the Lakes parent – and Frances Pisacane’s husband! See the video and article here.
Call it coincidence or just plain luck, but Academy students had a wonderful opportunity to not only help members of the community but also work side-by-side with the Tampa Bay Buccaneer football team!
The Academy at the Lakes chapter of the National Junior Honor Society is collecting school supplies to be sent to two schools in Alabama and Missouri.
Several lower division faculty members participated in the Miles for Moffitt annual walk/run to support members of our community. First grader, Hayley, ran for Ms. Twila.
The Giraffe Club delivered gift bags made by the fourth grade students at Helping Hands Food Pantry.
Academy’s student council will sponsor a clothing drive May 2 – May 20 to benefit the Oasis Network of New Tampa. Please donate your gently used clothes…
Lower Division students in PreK3 through second grade celebrated Earth Day by beautifying their garden. Each student brought a plant to school that they had picked out with their parents.
