Seven Academy students competed in the Regional Science Fair. All placed in the top three slots in their category. Six students won first place and will continue to the state science fair.
On Tuesday, February 9th President Abraham Lincoln made a whistle-stop tour of the Academy at the Lakes.

This year marks the 11th anniversary of our all-school musical. We will be presenting one of America’s best loved musicals, The Sound of Music. Tickets go on sale Thursday, February 4th.
In case you have been asking “Where was the fire?”….There was none. On Friday, January 15, 2010, Pasco County firemen visited the Wendlek Campus to enlighten our Lower Division students on fire safety and transportation. Did you know that at Academy at the Lakes, we have our own “Ace of Cakes?” To show their appreciation to Mr. Vo for his great job in teaching them Pre-Calculus, Alex Aucoin and Carrie Layden made an amazing cake to celebrate his January 25th birthday
Upper Division Key Club students spent the morning of Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the Pasco Food Bank sorting food by categories, labeling and packing boxes and relocating packed boxes for distribution to other centers.
