Winners from our December Invention Convention submitted contest applications last week for the USF Young Innovators Contest.
On January 29, the USF Chapter of the National Academy of Inventors selected the top 10 inventors to compete at a live event on February 11, 2014. There are cash prizes at stake for the students and their schools. All ten finalists receive special medals and annual family passes to Tampa’s Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI).
Two Academy students were selected as part of the top 10 inventors to compete live on February 11th.
We congratulate 5th grader Hannah Fowler for her invention, the Brite Nite light up mat and 8th grader Melissa Feingold for her Tech Cart shopping cart with technical features.
Hannah and Melissa are invited to attend a Presentation Workshop at USF this Saturday, February 1st.
On Monday, the top 50 inventors from over 500 applicants were selected. Seven Academy at the Lakes students received this distinction.
They will all receive medals from the USF Chapter of the National Academy of Inventors.
