As Cyndi Lauper’s lyric goes, “Girls just wanna have fun.” However, middle and high school can also be a stressful time for teens, especially for girls. Academy at the Lakes’ middle and high school girls have made it their mission to create strong bonds through meaningful relationships, and they are doing so through Girl Code.

It was a busy summer over here at Academy at the Lakes! The entire school received beautiful upgrades throughout, but the most prominent renovation was the addition of an entirely new Upper Division deck and classroom additions for our high school students.

Academy’s retreats began in 1995 and have continued every fall with retreats tailored for the Middle and Upper Divisions. The goals are the same - to set the school culture: a community. Students bond and form friendships. New students and faculty learn about Academy’s culture; returning students and faculty are renewed by it.
