Six Academy Students Move on to Florida History Day State Competition

history day

Academy students made history at the Pasco County History Fair on Saturday, March 10 at Charles S. Rushe Middle School.

All nine students who competed placed in the top three for their category. Six of the nine students will be moving on to the Florida History Day State Competition in Tallahassee at Tallahassee Community College in May – the most in school history to move on to states.

“I’m incredibly impressed with our students’ overall performance,” Mrs. Kelly Rodowsky, History Instructor said. “I never worry about the interview portion of the competition because our students are always prepared due to the integration of public speaking throughout our curriculum.”
