Upper Division (Grades 9-12)

Because Academy is a “small community with big opportunities,” each student has the chance to shine by developing leadership skills through a perfect balance of academics, athletics, arts, clubs, and service.

As a fully-accredited college preparatory school, Academy offers a challenging curriculum with dozens of core and elective choices, including Advancement Placement and Honors tracks.

Academy at the Lakes is among a handful of Tampa Bay area high schools to offer the innovative and prestigious Advanced Placement Capstone program. This program allows students to develop the skills that matter most for their future college success: research, collaboration, and communication. AP Capstone complements the in-depth, subject-specific rigor of Advanced Placement courses and exams.

The academic experience at Academy is about more than what you learn in the classroom. Academy’s high school students may take advantage of the school’s many signature programs, all of which tie directly back to the “6Cs” of our Curriculum:
