In an effort to increase student understanding of the connections between advanced math and science, Academy at the Lakes has partnered with the Integrated Mathematical Oncology (IMO) Lab at Moffitt Cancer Center.
Through this partnership, selected Upper Division students attend a day-long seminar presented by the IMO mathematicians. Students gain an understanding of how math and science work together to develop cutting edge solutions in the treatment of cancer. Additionally, students who attend this program may apply for a summer internship at the IMO.
