Wildcat Camp is a full-day camp designed to spark imagination, stimulate intellectual curiosity, and provide plenty of fun and physical activity. Camp highlights include hands-on, collaborative educational activities led by experienced adult teachers, a variety of exciting games and play, and small group settings led by caring, responsible, and enthusiastic counselors.

How Does Wildcat Camp Work?
Wildcat Campers have the option to choose between a classic camp experience (Academy Adventures) or a specialty morning session (A.M. Alternative Session) each week. This choice is made during registration.
*P.M. Rotations: This afternoon session includes traditional camp activities such as arts and crafts, sports and games, weekly specialty periods, outdoor play, and more.

Week 4
Designed for our youngest artists, Art Around the World introduces children to hands-on, age-appropriate art activities that build fine-motor skills, spark imagination, and introduce early art concepts. Each day features art inspired by a different part of the world, including African kente paper weaving, Japanese cherry blossom art, Australian dot painting, and more. Activities are simple, child-friendly, and culturally respectful, helping students develop confidence, curiosity, and joy in creating.
Week 7
Come join us for a week full of fun and skill development! Campers will be taught fundamental baseball/softball skills that will include fielding, throwing, hitting and base running. Join us and have a ball learning more about the great games of baseball and softball.
Week 5
Through experienced coaching, engaging drills, and fun competitive games, you’ll take your game to the next level. Join peers and coaches to enhance your teamwork and sportsmanship, improve your conditioning, and deepen your understanding of the great game of basketball!
Week 4
Through expert coaching, engaging activities, and fun team challenges, you’ll take your cheer skills to the next level. Join Academy’s Head Cheerleading Coach and Upper Division Cheerleaders to learn popular cheers, simple stunts, and short pom-pom routines. Build confidence, teamwork, and physical fitness while celebrating school spirit and having a blast with your peers!
Week 5, Week 7, Week 8
Kids’ Chess is perfect for beginners and young players looking to build skills. Through fun, hands-on activities, children will develop problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, strengthen their memory and focus, learn sportsmanship and patience, and make new friends. Chess is introduced step by step through games, stories, and playful challenges that make learning engaging and exciting for all skill levels.
Week 7
Get ready for kindergarten with this exciting preview camp! Designed specifically for Academy at the Lakes students entering senior kindergarten, this camp offers engaging activities in reading, writing, and math readiness. Campers will explore letters and numbers through hands-on projects, practice technology skills, and enjoy creative play that fosters learning and fun.
Week 4, Week 6
Join us for Flag Football Fun this summer! Coach Munn will introduce offensive and defensive skills and concepts designed to challenge and develop players of all skill levels. Campers will have plenty of opportunities to apply what they learn in modified games and scrimmages. This camp is a great opportunity for players to sharpen their skills, build confidence, and enjoy the game in a fun, supportive environment.
Week 6
This high-energy, hands-on offering helps children make healthy lifestyle choices and develop good habits. Fun, science-based activities teach the benefits of regular activity, balanced nutrition, proper hydration, and smart snacking.
Week 2, Week 3
Spend the week problem-solving and engaging in hands-on projects! Campers will imagine, design, and create with different materials, test their creations, and make improvements along the way. They’ll also tackle engineering challenges and have fun collaborating with friends.
Week 1, Week 8
Young scientists will dive into the world of discovery with fun, hands-on experiments! They’ll build candy cell models, explore basic scientific methods, make observations, and get creative through engaging activities. Perfect for curious kids who love experimenting and discovering how things work.
Week 3
Are you a master of magic or a prodigy at potions? Whether you’re ready to soar in a game of Quidditch, craft your own wand, whip up a batch of cauldron cakes, or tackle the art of planting mandrakes, this camp has it all! New to brewing Polyjuice Potion or taming fantastical creatures? No worries—your expert professors are here to guide you. Step onto the enchanting grounds of wizardry and let your imagination cast its own spell!
Week 2
Get ready to make art that pops! Campers will mix images, paper, fabric, and found objects to create eye-catching, one-of-a-kind collage masterpieces. This week is all about experimenting, exploring, and having fun—so bring an oversized paint shirt and your imagination!
Week 8
Summer assignments stressing you out? We’ve got you covered! At Academy, expert teachers guide campers in completing their summer work, helping them maintain skills and stay on track. It’s a productive week for kids—and a huge relief for parents.
Week 8
Get ready for math fun! Campers will play with numbers, explore sorting and graphing, and solve problems through hands-on activities and Munchie Math treats. This camp is designed to help incoming kindergarteners build confidence and a love for learning.
Week 1
Celebrate the Earth while getting creative! Campers will build, sculpt, paint, and repurpose recycled materials to make their own two- and three-dimensional artworks. They’ll also collaborate on an eco-friendly group project. Don’t forget to bring an oversized paint shirt for all the fun!
Week 1
Through fun drills, lead-up activities, modified games, and scrimmages, campers will strengthen their fundamental skills and deepen their understanding of the beautiful game. Our coaches will help every player grow as a dribbler, passer, shooter, and teammate.
Week 7
A fun, interactive, and collaborative introduction to Spanish! Campers will build vocabulary and conversational phrases throughout the week as they sing, dance, draw, color, and create—using Spanish to describe the world around them.
Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4, Week 5, Week 6
Each week of Summer Explorers is guided by a different theme. Campers will enjoy games, messy experiments, arts and crafts, and playground activities inspired by the week’s focus. It’s the perfect camp for active kids who love a balance of structure and free choice.
Week 3
Don’t just play apps—build the ones that make everyone laugh! Use easy drag-and-drop blocks to create a hilarious “Meme Soundboard,” a wacky “Voice Changer,” or a fast-paced “Cookie Clicker” game. No boring typing required! You’ll design the buttons, record the sounds, and scan a QR code to run your app on a real phone. It’s the ultimate way to show off your tech skills!
Week 4, Week 6
Build it, code it, keep it! Dive into the world of robotics as you assemble and program your very own robot. Discover the engineering behind the machine and the code that brings it to life. From navigating mazes to completing exciting challenges, you’re in command. Best of all, you’ll take your robot home to continue the fun!
Course fee includes a $75 programmable robot that each camper keeps.
Week 8
Step into the future with Coding 101! Don’t just play games—create them using Scratch, the colorful drag-and-drop coding platform loved by kids worldwide. You’ll also explore artificial intelligence with Google’s Teachable Machine, training your computer to recognize your own dance moves and hand signals. It’s the perfect mix of creativity, coding, and futuristic fun for beginner techies!

Dream of making your own video games? Game Design 101 turns players into creators! Using Scratch’s intuitive block coding, you’ll design characters, build epic levels, and program unique power-ups. Learn the secrets behind your favorite games while boosting your problem-solving skills. Whether it’s a space racer or a platform adventure, you’ll leave with a playable game to share with friends. No experience needed—just bring your imagination!
Week 2
Become a VR star! Put on the Meta Quest headset to play and record wild Roblox VR adventures. Then hop on a PC to edit your footage, add sound effects, and create videos ready to share. You’ll also learn to build custom VR obbys (obstacle courses) to challenge your friends. It’s playing, creating, and streaming—all in one!
Week 7
Transform from Roblox player to Roblox developer! Take control in Roblox Studio to build the ultimate ‘Obby’ (obstacle course). Design treacherous lava pits, moving platforms, and speed runs that will challenge your friends. You’ll learn real 3D game design concepts and scripting tricks to make your world come alive. Customize your avatar, sculpt terrain, and launch a game that could top the leaderboards. The world awaits your creation!
