This year, our 8th Grade students had the choice to participate in Invention Convention to pursue their ideas and bring them to fruition through an in-depth project. Brad Rothbaum ’23 accepted the Science Department’s invitation to continue his work beyond our school event and participate in the Florida Invention Convention. Brad dedicated many hours working on his invention, “Speak Up.” This past Friday, Brad was selected as one of four students to represent the State of Florida at the National Invention Convention and Entrepreneurship Expo.
Last year, we had 6 Academy at the Lakes students invited at the Florida Invention Convention to compete at Nationals in Michigan.
This year’s National Convention will take place at the end of the month at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. Congratulations, Brad!
