Mr. Hagenau has served our school since the opening of the Upper Division in 1998. This brilliant, well-educated man of the world has taught our students in a wide range of classes, including History, English, Geography, Religion, and World Language, during his years on our faculty. Because of his broad experience, he has been able to bring the world to countless American students over the past 62 years, inspiring them with stories of his travels and contacts, always with the idea that he was in their lives to help make his students wiser, better, and more aware of the rest of the world.
The W. Paul Hagenau Endowed Scholarship Fund was established to honor Mr. Hagenau’s lasting influence and dedication to our school. Made possible by the collective generosity of the communities he served during his impressive career, the fund reflects his hope of providing financial support to help students attend Academy at the Lakes for generations to come.
