Gold and Blue Bracket play was in full force on Friday at the 27th Roger Jones Kissimmee Klassic and will continue into Saturday before the semi-finals begin at 1 pm EST and the championships at 7 pm to wrap-up the prestigious Florida high school tournament
Here are some of the highlights and scores from Day 2 in the Blue and Gold Divisions which saw some teams play twice enroute to Saturday’s final day of action:
Academy at the Lakes 10, Lake Brantley 6
Alabama-bound pitcher/infielder Lexi Kilfoyl went 3-for-3 with two RBI and a home run, her 9th of the year, and outfielder Caitlin Blankenship went 2-for-4 with three RBIs to spark a rally for the defensing Class 2A state champs.
