Sports Update 11/13/19: Swimming, Football, Golf, Cross Country, and Volleyball

Academy Swimmer, McKenna ’21, recently finished another stellar season in the pool for our Wildcats. She added District and Regional Championships in the 50 and 100 Meter Freestyle. This brings McKenna’s Championship total to eleven. McKenna also placed third in the 50 and 100 Freestyle in the State Championship meet.

Our three-time state championship football team’s run to a fourth title ended with a heartbreaking loss in the state quarterfinals.

Our Boys Golf Team ended their season with a fourth-place finish in a tough district. It was Academy’s highest team finish in school history. Tristin ’23 made a great run at an individual District Championship and finished second by two strokes.

Holden ’20 finished his Cross Country career by qualifying for the Regional Meet once again. Holden placed 13th in the District Meet that involved 18 other teams.

Volleyball ended their season with a second-place finish in their District Tournament. And were eliminated in the Regional Quarterfinal.
