Jack Teeter, Academy at the Lakes junior, loves playing baseball just as much as he loves talking about it. Teeter’s love for the sport deepened when it was suddenly taken away. On top of COVID-19, he was told he had cancer.
“It doesn’t fully register with you right away,” Teeter said. “Like, you hear it, but it doesn’t click in your head. It didn’t click in my head until about a week later that I had it.”
After chemotherapy, radiation treatments, and a final scan, he was cleared to return to the field. Teeter returned with a new appreciation for the game and realization that if he can get through cancer, he can do anything.
