It has been another incredible year for Academy athletics as the Spring season comes to an end. Our teams and athletes have worked incredibly hard under another year of unusual circumstances, and the results speak for themselves.
First, a huge congratulations to graduating senior Caleb Yann! Caleb qualified for this year’s State Track and Field Meet in the javelin hosted in Jacksonville. Caleb threw a career-best of 43 meters at the Regional Meet, earning him a spot to represent Academy on a state level. Caleb is in good company with his Track and Field teammates. Two-thirds of the team’s athletes qualified this year for the Regional Meet in Naples.
Another year, another title! Congratulations to our Varsity Softball team, who secured another District Championship title. With the addition of their excellent win, the Academy Softball program now owns eight district and three regional championships plus two state championships.
Our Baseball team also had a great season securing a spot in the Regional Quarterfinals.
We are so proud of all our athletes this year who have put in countless hours of training, practice, and of course, wins! To our graduating athletes, we wish you nothing but success and happiness in the next step in your journey.
Go Wildcats!
Ten of the forty-one seniors in our athletics department recently signed a Letter of Intent to play their sport at the next level. This includes athletes from a wide range of sports including swimming, basketball, baseball, football, soccer, and softball. Academy is very proud of these student athletes and wish them the very best in their college careers!
