Academy’s Fall Sports are a Great Tone for the 2019-2020 School Year

The Academy Wildcat sports year is off to a great start.  Our 3-time State Champion Football team has started the season at 4-0, and is riding a 22-game win streak.  Stay tuned for another exciting run at a third consecutive state championship! Our Varsity Cheerleading team is touting its largest and most experienced roster, and is pumping up our Friday night football crowds, and providing great support to our team.

The Varsity Volleyball team has picked up where last year’s record setting team left off.  We’re currently ranked sixth in Florida Class 2A. Even though the team is beset with recent injuries to key players, they hope to continue a great season with a strong run at the district championship.  The district tournament begins October 14that Keswick Christian School.

Boys Golf has won 13 straight matches and remains undefeated on their season.  They hope to stay hot and win Academy’s first team district championship on October 14that Rogers Park.

Our Varsity Boys and Girls Cross Country teams will compete in their district championship meet at Cristo Rey High School on October 24th.  Academy senior Holden Jorski continues to break personal and school records, and he hopes to land another strong finish in the district meet and advance to regionals for the second consecutive year.

Academy’s All American Swimmer, McKenna Smith is having another great season, and she hopes to lead our young team to their highest district finish in school history. McKenna also is making another strong run toward an individual state championship.

The Middle Division sports program continues to grow and Volleyball, Golf, Swimming, Cross Country, and Co-Ed Soccer have their largest rosters in recent years.
