Academy at the Lakes is committed to maintaining a diverse student body of academically qualified and mission-appropriate students.

We understand and appreciate the investment that families make when they enroll at Academy at the Lakes. We do our best to assist families who qualify for need-based financial aid, and we expect that each family will contribute an appropriate amount toward their child’s education.
  • Academy at the Lakes has a limited amount of financial aid we can award each year, and requests for aid typically outnumber the amount we are able to provide.
  • We require all students to go through the admissions process before we review their financial aid files, which allows us to make admissions decisions without regard to financial need.
  • It is our school policy to keep all financial aid applications and awards completely confidential. Likewise, it is the expectation that our financial aid recipients do the same.
  • Families should keep in mind that Upper Division students are more likely to receive a need-based financial award than Middle or Lower Division students.

Financial Aid Application Procedures

We use Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) to process our financial aid applications. FAST is a service of Independent School Management. Based on the financial information you provide, FAST gives us an estimated amount that your family can contribute to educational expenses. This helps our school make fair and objective financial aid decisions. Financial Aid requests must be renewed annually, as awards are made for one year only.
To begin your financial aid application, follow these steps:
      1. Click here to begin filling out your financial aid application. You only need to complete one PFS even if you have multiple children applying to our school.
      2. You will select a username and password that will allow you to return to your financial aid application at a later date before submitting it. Your information will be secure.
      3. You will be given instructions about submitting additional documents. Academy at the Lakes requires two years of tax returns, along with W-2 and all supporting schedules.

Academy at the Lakes seeks to admit students and families who are aligned with our school’s Mission & Core Values, and who will engage in the AATL community.
Admission is based on selective criteria including: the student’s visit day; prior academic record; teacher recommendation; developmental readiness; and standardized assessments. The admission committee will also consider evidence of the applicant’s potential for success in a college-preparatory program.
