Each summer, our students and families are invited to journey deep into the heart of the Amazon basin for the adventure of a lifetime.
High-school aged students may travel with faculty chaperones, or families with younger students may join Academy’s Amazonia Expeditions group for this week-long trip to the Tahuayo Lodge and Research Center in Peru. Amazonia Expeditions, the lodge, and research center are owned and operated by an Academy alumni family.
The school also offers one high school student a month-long research internship at the lodge and research center; interns are chosen through an application process.
Through programs the school has developed with Amazonia Adventures, educational trips are also available to students and families to The Great Migration in Africa and the Galapagos Islands.
The Admissions Team offers personal tours to fit your schedule. Tours are scheduled Monday-Friday.
