As you may be aware, we have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation. The safety of our students, campers, staff, and community is our primary concern. Unfortunately, the summer program we envisioned will not come to fruition this year. Aside from the high school for-credit classes, we will not offer any programming this summer for students who are not enrolled at Academy at the Lakes.
We have begun the refund process for ALL camps and noncredit summer school sessions for the entire summer. Our Director of Ancillary Programs, Kelly Rodowsky, will send refund email confirmations to families this week.
This does not impact our online high school for-credit courses. Those will continue as scheduled and are open to non-Academy students.
We apologize for the challenges this may cause your family. We hope to be able to offer our summer program in its entirety next summer.

We are so pleased to have you here, whether you have been part of our program for many years or you’re sampling our wide range of offerings for the very first time. Your child does not need to be an Academy at the Lakes student to have fun and learn all kinds of things with us during your summer! I very much hope that your family’s Summer at the Lakes will help your child discover some new talents, interests, and skills. Whether it’s learning how to shoot an arrow, cast a line, build a robot or model, scholastic skills in our academic camps and summer school, or life skills built by learning how to play well with others, the lessons we learn in summer can enrich us and last a lifetime.

What if my child does not attend Academy at the Lakes?
Summer at the Lakes is open to EVERYONE! You do not have to attend Academy at the Lakes as a student to enjoy our summer program offerings. Bring a friend and SPLASH into Summer at the Lakes!
How do I register my child for camp?
Please visit the following link to create an account or sign-in to your account. Follow the instructions from the website to register your child. We do not accept in-person or paper registrations. All registrations must be completed online prior to the child attending camp.
What are the dates of your program?
Our summer program runs for 8-weeks from June 1st to July 24th.
Do I have to sign my child up for the whole summer?
Summer at the Lakes is a choice-based program. Your child can attend for 1 week or all 8 weeks. We have morning, afternoon, and full day options available. With over 60 different camps and classes to choose from, your child can have a different experience each week!
What types of camps and classes do you offer?
We offer over 60 different camps and classes.
We have a range of camps that vary from sports to STEM, arts and crafts, cooking, fishing, canoeing, specialty themes, and field trip camps.
We also offer Math, Language Arts, and special topics noncredit summer classes and Math, Foreign Language, American Government, Economics, Personal Finance, and H.O.P.E. for-credit high school courses.
How much does your program cost?
Our half-day camps are $150. You can combine a morning half-day camp and an afternoon half-day camp to create a full day experience.
Our full-day camps range in price from $225-$550 per week, depending on the camp offering.
Our noncredit morning only summer school classes for Kindergarten through 8th graders cost $225. You can combine a morning half-day summer class and an afternoon half-day camp to create a full day experience.
Our ½ credit high school courses cost $1,000. One credit high school courses cost $1,500. We offer classes in Math, Foreign Language, Economics, Personal Finance, American Government, and H.O.P.E.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, we require a $25 deposit for each camp or noncredit summer school session that is applied towards your tuition balance. After May 31st, all deposits are non-refundable.
For-credit high school courses require a $100 (1/2 credit) or $150 (1 credit) deposit that is applied towards your tuition balance. After May 29th, all deposits are non-refundable.
How do you determine age/grade placement?
Your child must be 3 and toilet-trained by June 1st.
If your child is 3, they can attend Summer Playhouse Camp which is offered full-day each week.
Morning and aftercare are not available for 3-year-olds.
If your child is 4 by June 1st, they can attend Summer Playhouse which is offered full-day each week.
For children ages 5 and older by June 1st, they will attend camps or classes for the grade they will be entering in school in August 2020.
Is lunch included?
No, we do not offer a lunch program at Summer at the Lakes. If your child is attending for the full day please pack a lunch, snacks, drinks, and water bottles each day unless otherwise noted.
Do you offer morning or aftercare?
Yes, for children 4 years and older. Morning care is located in the gym from 7:30-8:00 for $5.
Aftercare is located in our Upper Division Building Room 39 (door faces the gymnasium) from 3:15-6:00 and costs $5 per hour.
Do you offer transportation?
No, we do not offer transportation to or from our campus during the summer.
